Threatened Tropical Storm changes Festival Plans

If the Brandywine River Floods: Heading north on Route 1, there will be a sign between Longwood and Route 52 directing people down 52 to Route 141 to 202 N and back to Route 1.

Volunteers
All volunteers should still report to their post as planned.  If your volunteer location/event is cancelled please report to THE CENTER at 106 West State Street to see if help is needed in another area.

Vendors
Use your discretion.  If you do not setup on Saturday, you must come in one hour earlier than your scheduled time for Sunday. All vehicles must be off the street by 8am.

Event Changes

Friday, September 5

Teen Dance is going ahead as planned at 600 South Broad Street from 7 to 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 6 changes: high winds and rain are being forecast for Saturday. In consideration of the forecast, the Mushroom Festival is making the following changes to Saturday's schedule:

Community Parade—rescheduled for Sunday, September 7 at 10 a.m.

Antique and Classic Car Show—rescheduled for Sunday, September 7 at 10 a.m. – new location: 600 South Broad Street (same location as the Soup and Wine Festival)

Children’s Entertainment is being moved inside. All performances will be at the same time but at The Garage on South Union Street.

Still happening on Saturday, September 6

Culinary events (in the tent on Broad Street): Cooking and nutrition demonstration throughout the day. Mushroom Soup Cook-off, 3 p.m.

Artist’s Alley (in the American Legion Building (East State and Broad Streets) Visit with local Chester County artists as they display and sell their work.

Growers’ Exhibit and Farm Tours will be available all day Saturday.

The Street Fair and all other outdoor events will be held as weather permits and at the discretion of the Festival and its vendors.

Saturday Night Dance Party is on for 8 p.m.

Sunday, September 7: At this time weather reports indicate sunny skies for Sunday. All vendors and activities will happen as scheduled.
