Giorgi Fresh takes Best of Show for Portabella Bulk
2012′s Best of Show in Mushroom Judging: Giorgi’s Bulk Portabella
The competition was fierce with 11 mushroom growers entering their best in the27th Annual Mushroom Festival’s Mushroom Judging Contest. For 2012 the Best in Show ribbon and bragging rights goes to Giorgi Fresh with their Portabella Bulk entry. Special thanks to the Irwin Brothers for serving as the judges for this year’s contest.

The 28th Annual Mushroom Festival Mushroom Judging Event
Date: Sunday, September 15, 2013
Time: Noon
Location: Grower’s Exhibit, Broad Street
The area’s mushroom growers compete for ribbons and bragging rights at the annual Mushroom Festival Mushroom Judging contest. Once the mushrooms are judged and bragging rights established these freshest and best of the best of the area’s mushrooms are sold to the public (around 2 p.m.).
